Our 2021 Calendars Will Be Here Soon!The race is on to reserve yours now!Each month of 2021 will transport you to A Horse Tale Rescue where you’ll be hanging out at the barn with the herd!This beautiful 8.5 x 11 calendar is $20 or we can mail it to anywhere in Canada for $25.To get yours, choose one of the two payment buttons below. You can use Paypal and/or Credit Card.You can pick them up at our barn but be sure to arrange a meet-up time by contacting Elaine by email at Elaine@ahorsetale.org.
Halloween Raffle
AHT’s Halloween For Kids Raffle!DATE CHANGED TO HALLOWEENFriday, October 30 at 4 p.m., AHT Rescue is raffling these three super baskets for children. Value of each basket is $90.Tickets are $5 each or 3 tickets for $10 and available online. Results Are In!
[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text] Congratulation to Sistering – A Woman’s Place, winner of the 6th annual Great Canadian Giving Challenge.[distance1] Each June, CanadaHelps challenges Canadians to donate to their favourite charity where every dollar donated during the month is an automatic entry for the charity of the donor’s choice. In honour of the 20th anniversary of CanadaHelps, this year, the grand prize was increased to $20,000! Congratulations to Sistering – A Woman’s Place in Toronto, Ontario, on winning the challenge. While we did not win the grand prize, the challenge was a huge success for AHT! We received 15,499 chances in the contest, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Nearly half of AHT’s donations made were in the last few days of the month when our sweet Rusty suffered a severe colic and was brought to St-Hyacinthe Large Animal Hospital on June 25. [vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text] SECOURS AHT RESCUE’S FIRST HOT-2-TROT WALK-A-THON Please help us come together while we are apart and join us our first Hot-2-Trot Walk-a-thon. This is a walk, run, horse ride or stroll ~ you can walk in your neighbourhood, in the country or forest, on trails, in your backyard or even in your house with all the windows open! You can participate in this event from ANYWHERE in the world. Due to a number of our fundraising events being cancelled for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19, we have created an independent walkathon to raise money for our Herd. Wherever you decide to walk, run, jog, trot, canter, stroll, saunter, dance, rollerblade, do cartwheels, limbo, waltz… just get moving!! Whatever you do, please comply with physical distancing and only go to permitted areas…and most importantly, have fun! You can choose your own distance, count your steps, or base it…

Rusty Needs Our Help
[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Our dearest Rusty has suffered a severe, sudden colic. His condition worsened throughout the day to the point his immediate transport to the St-Hyacinthe Large Animal Hospital was his only hope. A displaced colon as well as a very high fever and heart rate meant we needed to act quickly if Rusty was to have a fighting chance. Given the last minute decision and logistics of transporting a large horse two hours away at 7:00 p.m. at night, was not an easy task. Thankfully through the kind horse network in our area along with support for AHT Rescue, we found a solution for someone to help us out. This situation brought us to the realization that AHT Rescue needs to be more self-sufficient, especially in times of crisis and needing to act quickly for the care for a suffering horse.
