You can participate in this event from ANYWHERE in the world. Due to a number of our fundraising events being cancelled for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19, we have created an independent walkathon to raise money for our Herd. Wherever you decide to walk, run, jog, trot, canter, stroll, saunter, dance, rollerblade, do cartwheels, limbo, waltz… just get moving!! [vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text] Manure Drive a huge success! Over $6,000 in donations was raised over three weekends at AHT’s first annual organic horse fertiliser fundraiser. A huge thank-you to the volunteers who helped and to everyone who supported us. Making this a true community event, Vaudreuil-Dorion Mayor Guy Pilon came out to fill bags with his son, as did Députée Marie-Claude Nicholsand her daughter. MP Peter Shiefke and his daughter also came by to say hello and to pick up some fertiliser for their garden. Thank you, as well, to IGA Déziel Hudson for donating all the compostable, paper grocery bags used during the fundraiser. It’s truly heartwarming when local supports local, both government/municipal officials and all of you! Space is limited each day and there will be strict protocols in place to ensure social distancing. AHT will be pre-packaging the fertilizer in double lined paper bags and load them into your car. This aligns with government guidelines and is easier for you to then compost the bags!
