Today AHT hosted Vanier College students studying animal care. As part of their curriculum, they are required to have hands on experience with large animals and they reached out to AHT. We were more than happy to help these bright young, budding animal care specialists! Our horses were great and everyone left with huge smiles. There were 30 students in total and many are hoping to return to AHT as new members! See Buddy helping out with hoof picking and brushing. Rocky and Smooch stayed very still for vitals (heart rate, respiratory, etc).   Smooch also helped out with leg and tail bandaging. Balou and Jack helped with haltering and leading. What a great herd we have! It was clear in their smiles as they walked the pasture for some close ups with our beauties in the fall sun that today was a success! Thank you to our barn management team…

A Horse Tale is making a difference in the lives of more than just horses. Here is David’s story.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A Horse Tale (AHT) held its Annual General (AGM) meeting today at Zee Grub in Vaudreuil, today, May 15, 2016. As a registered Canadian charity, it’s part of our mandate to hold this meeting once a year to go over the year in review as well as the future of the group. It was a perfect venue to meet, and provided for a nice cozy atmosphere (with the fire burning) on this cold May day. They have always been very supportive of our group and it was truly appreciated. Then each of the board members went over all that transpired last year, what went well, what didn’t and what’s in store for the future. We covered: Barn renovations (such as plans to add in a round ring for the horses to exercise) Finances and all of the…
