Vanier College student visit

Today AHT hosted Vanier College students studying animal care.

As part of their curriculum, they are required to have hands on experience with large animals and they reached out to AHT. We were more than happy to help these bright young, budding animal care specialists!

Our horses were great and everyone left with huge smiles. There were 30 students in total and many are hoping to return to AHT as new members!

See Buddy helping out with hoof picking and brushing.

Rocky and Smooch stayed very still for vitals (heart rate, respiratory, etc).

Smooch also helped out with leg and tail bandaging. Balou and Jack helped with haltering and leading. What a great herd we have!

It was clear in their smiles as they walked the pasture for some close ups with our beauties in the fall sun that today was a success!

Thank you to our barn management team of  Caroline, Kierstyn and Sarah for helping facilitate the event, and thanks to the students who rallied together to make a donation to AHT.
