AHT Welcomes Area Town Leaders

AHT Welcomes Area Town Leaders
[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]On October 27, A Horse Tale Rescue was pleased to welcome area town leaders to our barn for a chilly, early morning visit. There, Mayor Guy Pilon of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Mayor Jamie Nicholls of Hudson, and Saint-Lazare City Councillors Geneviève Lachance, Richard Chartrand, and Michel Poitras, as well as Michel Lambert of Club Optimiste learned about AHT, our rescued horses, and our A Horse Tale Experience Program. Our members shared what AHT represents and our vision of continuing our outreach to give back to the community through the AHT Experience Program. The program aims to support individuals who have emotional, intellectual, or physical challenges. With the help of special AHT Experience guests led by Director of Equine Contact Carolle Charlebois, the visitors witnessed first-hand the benefits of AHT to not only the rescued horses that pass through the gates, but the two-legged beneficiaries, as well. What a proud moment for A Horse Tale. The group was then given a tour of the grounds by AHT members President Mike Grenier, Barn Manager Caroline Handy, and Open House Coordinator Lori McAleer Mitchell.

Based in Vaudreuil-Dorion, on the borders of Hudson and Saint-Lazare, A Horse Tale Rescue is a non-profit registered charity which offers a second chance to horses in need. We operate though a group of caring and compassionate volunteers who provide the necessary care and attention each horse deserves. A Horse Tale operates entirely through the generosity of our members and community alike. We raise funds through donations, sponsorships, and various fundraising activities.

A Horse Tale Rescue understands the human benefits of equine presence. With this in mind, we look to continue our AHT Experience Program’s outreach of supporting individuals through contact with our rescued horses. The more we give, the more we receive.
