Share your skills with AHT Rescue

AHT Rescue is looking for strong leaders, and it starts with you!
AHT’s Interim Board of Directors is seeking volunteer candidates interested in being considered to join the Board of Directors. These incoming Board members will help to ensure that AHT continues to grow and realize its potential by assuming legal responsibility to do the best for AHT. Here are some of the qualities AHT Rescue looks for:
    • Commitment to AHT Rescue and its mission.
    • Integrity, honesty, effective listening and communication, collaboration, negotiation, and innovative thinking.
We are seeking passionate candidates that can provide the organization with guidance and commit the time and energy necessary to ensure strategies are executed. The Nominating Committee is interested in (but not limited to) candidates with the following knowledge and expertise:
    • Fundraising, donor development and sponsorship
    • Legal expertise
    • Human Resources
    • Strategic planning
    • Technology/ IT
    • Previous board (or similar) experience
Candidate Eligibility
    • Willing to fulfill the responsibilities of a Director.
Expected Level of Commitment:
    • Fulfill a two-year term beginning in 2022.
    • Attend regularly scheduled Board meetings typically lasting one to two hours monthly, and special meetings, as needed.
    • Actively participate in the affairs of A Horse Tale Inc., discussions, review of materials, complete research as required.
    • Willingness to serve on or Chair sub-committees if the need arises.
All interested individuals should send an email explaining their strengths and what they could bring to the board to Susan Ermacora (susan@ahorsetale.org) by April 15, 2022 (changed from original deadline of May 1, 2022).
The final candidates will be selected by the Nominating Committee and then be voted on by the membership at the next AGM. There are several openings available so please do not hesitate to send your candidacy; we look forward to hearing from you!
