Membership
As a member, you will have access to our private Facebook pages. Since these pages are regularly updated, they will allow you to stay up to date with news and events. You will find photos and videos of our horses and their antics.
We encourage you (as well as your family and friends) to visit our herd during our public Open House visits. They are generally held monthly on Saturdays between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., from March to November, weather permitting.
You are entitled and encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM). At AGMs, we provide and present A Horse Tale's financial report, elect members to the Board of Directors, and discuss any other business that affects our organization.

​As a member, you play a vital role at A Horse Tale. You are expected to support the organization by sharing information about our events, being an ambassador by endorsing our cause, and participating in events with your family, friends, and community.

Volunteering
Membership of A Horse Tale also permits you to get involved and help us at the barn by volunteering. Volunteering can be an extremely rewarding process to help with the horses' care and barn operations. We can always use your help and we encourage you to sign up. Through volunteering, you can assist with barn maintenance and upkeep, fundraising events, or help at our breakfast, lunch, and supper feeds.

As a volunteer you will be in the presence of our wonderful horses and be able to assist in various barn tasks. Tasks include sweeping feed mats, weighing and distributing hay, assisting with bowl preparation and distribution, mucking paddocks and stalls, sweeping the barn and office, etc.
