Word Search Equestrian Rally
The CEF – Club Équestre les Forestiers is holding a “Word Search” equestrian rally October 5th. The profits of the event will be donated to AHT, with an extra 20% being contributed by CEF. The goal is to raise $1000 for AHT. Event details are available on the club’s Facebook page. A big thank you the organizers for their support and for thinking of AHT.
AHT Wins Hero of the Horse Award

A Horse Tale Rescue (AHT) is thrilled to announce that they have won Horse Canada’s 2019 Hero of the Horse award. This award was created by Horse Canada in order to celebrate the hard work and dedication of exceptional horse people around the country. Of the 10 finalists, AHT was the only rescue from the province of Quebec. AHT is truly honored to have won the Horse Canada’s 2019 Hero of the Horse Award and will be receiving a trophy, $2,000, 12 blankets from Canadian Saddlery and have their story featured in the November/December issue of Horse Canada magazine. This is a phenomenal recognition of the hard work and passion that ignites every AHT volunteer. Hero of the Horse Award!

Mike Grenier, a local Hudson resident is a top 10 finalist for Horse Canada’s Hero of the Horse award. The honor is awarded annually by the magazine to recognize the efforts of extraordinary individuals who advocate, promote, care for, rescue or otherwise improve the lives of horses in Canada. Mike is the Executive Director of A Horse Tale Rescue (AHT), a local organization that takes in equines in need. The 53-year-old rescue advocate started volunteering at the rescue five years ago when he and his wife, Sherry, visited an open house event. They immediately felt a connection with these large animals and wanted to do more. They began volunteering for feed times at the barn as well as helping with fundraising events.
