AHT Giving Tuesday 2017 Food Drive!

Vanier College student visit
Today AHT hosted Vanier College students studying animal care. As part of their curriculum, they are required to have hands on experience with large animals and they reached out to AHT. We were more than happy to help these bright young, budding animal care specialists! Our horses were great and everyone left with huge smiles. There were 30 students in total and many are hoping to return to AHT as new members! See Buddy helping out with hoof picking and brushing. Rocky and Smooch stayed very still for vitals (heart rate, respiratory, etc). Smooch also helped out with leg and tail bandaging. Balou and Jack helped with haltering and leading. What a great herd we have! It was clear in their smiles as they walked the pasture for some close ups with our beauties in the fall sun that today was a success! Farewell Sweet Soul
At 6 PM Monday September 11th 2017, a sweet old boy nicknamed Lucky (aka Dickie) passed away, while the crickets were chirping and the sun was a golden glow. The 31 year old Welsh pony wasn’t with us for very long but we we gave him the best few weeks he could have. AHT would like to thank all of our members for giving him the best care he could have received. Rest in Peace Sweet Lucky
Rod Young Memorial Fund

To say that Rod was a constant presence at the barn is a bit of an understatement.
